Artemisia annua 100% or 95% + ferrine: what is the difference?
Each capsule in this pack contains 500 mg of Artemisia annua L. (sweet wormwood) and nothing else: no excipient, no additive, in a capsule of plant origin. Our other formula combines 95% of the same plant with 5% ferrine. If you are looking for the plant alone, the 100% pure version is the one for you. It is also available as a box of 100 capsules for a first try; the formula with ferrine is also available as a pack of 3 boxes.
Dosage and length of a course
Take 1 capsule a day, in the morning, 15 to 30 minutes before a meal, with a large glass of water. It is customary to take courses of 20 to 30 days, which can be repeated after a short break. The table below shows how long each format lasts.
| Daily intake | Amount of plant | 1 box (100 capsules) | Pack of 3 (300 capsules) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 capsule | 500 mg | 100 days | 300 days (about 10 months) |
| 2 capsules, on the advice of a healthcare professional | 1 g | 50 days | 150 days (about 5 months) |

The plant: origin and cultivation
Sweet wormwood (Artemisia annua L.) is a herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae family, native to the temperate regions of Asia. It has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese herbal practice, where it is known as qinghao. An annual plant with finely divided, highly aromatic leaves, it is now grown on several continents. Its aerial parts, dried and then ground, are what is used in herbalism. It should not be confused with common mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris), a different species.
Storage
Keep the bottles tightly closed, at room temperature, away from moisture, heat and light, and out of the reach of children. Vegetable capsules are sensitive to moisture: close the bottle after each use and do not store it in a bathroom.
Frequently asked questions
How many Artemisia annua 500 mg capsules should you take per day?
1 capsule per day, i.e. 500 mg of plant. Do not exceed 2 capsules per day, and only on the advice of a healthcare professional.
When should you take the capsules: on an empty stomach or with a meal?
Preferably in the morning, 15 to 30 minutes before a meal, with a large glass of water. Taking the capsule at the same time every day helps you not to forget it.
How long does a course last?
A course usually lasts 20 to 30 days and can be repeated after a break. At 1 capsule per day, one box covers 100 days and this pack of 3 boxes 300 days: enough for several courses in a row without reordering.
Are there any contraindications?
These capsules are not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or for children. If you are following a medical treatment or have a health problem, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before starting. They are not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet.
Capsules or Artemisia tea: which should you choose?
Tea takes time to prepare and tastes very bitter. A capsule provides a constant amount of plant, 500 mg per dose, with no taste, and slips easily into a bag when you travel.
